Our District
House District 5 brings together some of Alaska’s most unique coastal communities, including Kodiak, Cordova, Seward, Chiniak, Ouzinkie, Port Lions, Old Harbor, Chenega, and Tatitlek.
From fishing families and small businesses to teachers, military families, ferry workers, health care providers, and local leaders, every community in this district deserves a strong voice in Juneau. I have deep roots in our district and I deeply understand the issues that matter here: protecting our fisheries, strengthening public schools and public safety, investing in housing and infrastructure, and keeping our communities connected by a reliable and well-funded Alaska Marine Highway. I will listen, show up, and get to work on the issues that matter most to coastal Alaska.

July 19 - Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration for the primary election.
August 3 - Early, absentee in-person, and special needs voting begins.
August 8 - Deadline to request an absentee ballot for the primary election.
August 18 - Primary Election Day.
October 4 - Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration.
October 19 - Early, absentee in-person, and special needs voting begins.
October 24 - Deadline to request an absentee ballot for the general election.
November 3 - General Election Day. Polls open from 7am – 8pm. Deadline for absentee ballots returned by mail to be postmarked.
